Software Engineer, Integrations at Cohere NY

Cohere, the security-first enterprise AI company, is seeking a Software Engineer, Integrations based in New York, NY to join its North platform team. You'll own the integration pipelines that connect enterprise data sources to Cohere's AI agents — a role central to how organizations deploy AI safely and effectively.

The Data Abstractions & Tools team owns the systems that let users upload, organize, share, and activate their data inside North. You will own the end-to-end integration pipeline: adding new tools, helping fellow engineers do the same, and building the repeatable processes that keep everything running smoothly. You'll also create evaluations and tests to ensure integrations perform reliably as the platform evolves, and tune tool descriptions to maximize agent performance.

• Build new integrations on the North agentic platform and maintain existing production tools
• Own the integration pipeline from design through shipping and ongoing maintenance
• Mentor other engineers and raise the bar for integration quality across the team
• Design evals and automated tests to catch regressions and validate integration behavior
• Tune tool descriptions based on evaluation feedback and user data
• Use AI actively in your workflow while maintaining accountability for ship quality and reliability

• Proven experience shipping production code and building integrations against external APIs
• Familiarity with evaluating agentic systems, prompt engineering, or tool-description tuning (preferred)
