Sr. Backend Software Engineer; Video Engineering

Design, deploy, and monitor Philo’s video streaming pipeline and scalable data services, collaborating with content partners and internal teams to improve the viewing and advertising experience. Improve platform reliability, performance, latency, and security, and evaluate encoding technologies to enhance video quality and reduce delivery costs.

Requirements: Requires 8+ years of software development experience, strong skills in a language such as Go, Java, or C++, and experience with concurrent programming, highly available REST services, and cloud deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Candidates should also have experience with large-scale data and databases, architectural ownership, Agile collaboration, and familiarity with cloud video transcoding services; video codecs, streaming protocols, DRM, and SSAI are advantageous.
