E-commerce Platform Developer

Our client, a leading online retailer with a growing presence, is seeking a skilled E-commerce Platform Developer to join their technology team based in Upington, Northern Cape . This hybrid role requires a talented individual who can contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our robust e-commerce platform. • Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues in a timely manner.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web development, with a significant focus on e-commerce platforms.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Strong back-end development experience with languages like PHP, Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify Plus, Woo Commerce, or custom-built solutions.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and integration methods.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices for web applications.
