Lead Mobile Application Developer; iOS​/Swift

Our client, a dynamic fintech startup based in Benoni, Gauteng , is seeking an experienced Lead Mobile Application Developer to spearhead the development of their native iOS applications. • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of native iOS applications using Swift.
• Architect robust, scalable, and performant mobile solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of iOS developers, fostering best practices and code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define and implement app features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Implement automated testing strategies, including unit and UI tests.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve app issues and bugs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, technologies, and platform updates.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology selection for mobile development.
• Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
• Manage the app release process to the App Store.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in native iOS development.
• Expertise in Swift programming language and iOS SDKs.
• Proven experience leading mobile development teams.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC).
• Experience with UI/UX design principles and best practices for iOS.
• Proficiency with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for mobile apps.
• Knowledge of cross-platform development frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
