Design the future architecture of one of Europe's most innovative banking networks while empowering engineers to do their best work. At ING Hubs Türkiye, we're looking for a Solution Architect Chapter Lead who combines strong architectural thinking with leadership capabilities. Someone who enjoys shaping technology strategy, designing scalable solutions, mentoring engineers, and building high-performing teams that deliver meaningful impact across ING's international ecosystem.

This is more than an architecture role. You'll define solution directions, guide engineering teams through complex transformation initiatives, contribute to cloud and modernization programs, and help grow a chapter of talented engineers through coaching, mentoring, and capability development. The decisions you make won't only influence a single platform—they will help shape technology solutions used across ING's global banking network. As a Solution Architect Chapter Lead, you will play a dual role combining Solution Architecture leadership with People Leadership responsibilities.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Domain Architects, Engineering Leads, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions. At the same time, you will lead a chapter of engineers, helping them grow professionally, strengthen engineering capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence. You will contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives, integration architectures, API ecosystems, cloud adoption programs, and modernization efforts while ensuring teams remain aligned with ING's architectural principles and engineering standards.

Work Model At ING Hubs Türkiye, flexibility is more than a benefit—it's part of how we work. Our hybrid way of working is designed to balance collaboration, innovation, and personal flexibility. Team members typically come together at our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote. We also provide additional flexibility throughout August with remote working opportunities, allowing colleagues to remain productive while staying connected with their teams.

As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations and contribute to solutions used across the bank. You will join an international technology organization where ownership, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and engineering excellence are at the heart of everything we do. Our teams design and deliver critical technology platforms that support ING's digital transformation journey.

• Beyond architecture, you'll be responsible for growing and developing a chapter of engineers.
• Manage and coach a chapter of approximately 8–12 engineers
• Support capability development and career growth discussions
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and team expansion activities
• Foster engineering excellence and continuous learning culture
• Coach engineers on architecture, design patterns, and software craftsmanship
• Support succession planning and talent development initiatives
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
