Principal Backend Engineer; Java​/

Our client, a leader in developing enterprise-grade software solutions, is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Java and the Spring ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing and implementing highly performant, scalable, and reliable backend systems that power our client's core products. As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers to deliver exceptional software. • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Architect robust and resilient microservices, ensuring efficient communication and data flow.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to strict quality standards.
• Drive technical decisions, influencing architectural direction and technology choices for backend systems.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth and code quality.
• Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data through robust backend design and implementation.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Research and advocate for new technologies and development practices.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Java.
• Deep expertise in the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data).
• Proven experience designing and building microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and No

• Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborating with teams.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions.
• Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools.
