Role Overview The Data and Integrations Team is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to create and maintain pipelines on a data integration, management, and analytics platform. This position builds pipelines to connect various systems, handling structured data specific to records and standards. The role involves working with near real-time data from pipelines and integrating with systems through REST APIs, focusing on API integrations, data pipeline development, data normalization, schema mapping, and validation.

This is a backend or platform engineering role centered on SQL-heavy systems.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain data pipelines for system integration, data integration, management, and analytics solutions.
* Build and maintain automated processes to support product deployment and evolution at scale.
* Handle projects involving Data Store Deployment, Integration Configuration, Testing, and Data Conversion, with a primary focus on Integration Configuration, Deployment, and Testing.
* Create custom solutions by writing code that interacts with APIs, leverages new endpoints, and builds validation tools.
* Partner with internal teams and agencies to make public safety data accessible and actionable.
* Influence peers, advise leaders, and provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members.
* Facilitate cross-team collaboration among engineers, solution architects, technical program managers, and business analysts.
* Work within the organization's integration framework, focusing on the  Load  and some  Transform  aspects of ETL processes.

Required Qualifications
*
* Education & Experience:

** A Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field, completion of a coding bootcamp, or a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in a related field is required.
** Technical

Skills:

*** Experience developing and maintaining customer production systems.
* Proficiency in writing T-SQL queries.
* Strong programming skills in at least one scripting language such as Python, JavaScript (ES6), Type Script, or Bash.
* Experience writing and consuming APIs (REST or GraphQL).
* Experience working with and interpreting JSON and XML data formats.
* Familiarity with using API REST clients like Postman or Insomnia for testing purposes.
* Experience with deploying hardware-agnostic software to cloud hosts.
* Familiarity with using YAML for the purpose of configuring builds and releases.
* Experience with container-based platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Logic Apps, SQL Server, Azure Storage, and Azure Key Vault.
* Experience with Snowflake and Power BI or Sigma for analytics and reporting.
* Backend or platform engineering experience in languages such as Java, Scala, or C++.
* Experience with data from healthcare, compliance, or other regulated industries.
