This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa. • Design, develop, and deploy advanced NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, and summarization.
• Implement and fine-tune state-of-the-art NLP architectures, including transformers (e.g., BERT, GPT).
• Process and analyze large volumes of textual data, performing feature engineering and data cleaning.
• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to integrate NLP capabilities into scalable applications.
• Conduct research into new NLP techniques and algorithms to enhance model performance and explore new possibilities.
• Evaluate and benchmark NLP models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's collective knowledge base.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP.
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying NLP models.
• Proficiency in Python and common NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and deep learning techniques relevant to NLP.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like Tensor Flow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for model training and deployment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
