Quality Engineer Eaton Eugene

We ship fast and break very little, and we want a Quality Engineer who shares that obsession with Linux. Trade 3 years of Project Management for $86,000 - $123,000 and you also get technology ownership and an Eaton crew that wants you to win.

• Trace a technology number back through Project Management services until it finally adds up
• Prototype proof-of-concept solutions for emerging technology requirements
• Prototype rough Project Management ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in Eaton's stack
• Apply Project Management and Git Hub Actions to solve spirited-and-grounded engineering challenges
• Wire Linux APIs to Git Hub Actions consumers so data lands where Eugene teams expect it
• Hand off Project Management runbooks so the next on-call at Eaton sleeps better
• Build the hands-dirty Networking feature that wins back the OR accounts Eaton lost
• Guard the Project Management codebase quality through reviews that teach as much as they catch

• The kind of empathy that makes hard feedback land softly
• Storytelling instincts that turn data into a decision
• Ability to learn new technology systems quickly and apply them effectively
• Real Git chops, plus the Webpack curiosity to keep growing
• 5 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it

Eaton builds the unglamorous technology plumbing that Eugene, OR relies on, and it does so with playfully-serious pride. New hires ship something real in week one, because we'd rather you learn by doing.

With $86,000 - $123,000 as the anchor, expect mentorship, a benefits package worth bragging about, and the latitude to work remote-first.

We are actively sourcing experiment-friendly professionals for this mid-level role right now.
