Remote Senior Backend Engineer; Python​/Django

This is a critical role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the robust backend infrastructure that powers their innovative platform. • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and high-performance backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.
• Develop and manage efficient database schemas and queries, primarily with PostgreSQL.
• Implement and maintain automated testing suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver features and improvements.
• Optimize application performance and identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and upholding coding standards.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology roadmap planning.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the application and data.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a production environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience with the Django framework.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and optimization.
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
• Understanding of microservices architecture is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote team environment.
