The Walmart Fulfillment Services and Marketplace Engineering team focuses on building scalable, resilient solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency. This team emphasizes architectural excellence, adopting modern technologies, AI capabilities, and engineering standards to enhance system reliability and productivity. Members collaborate across functions to solve complex problems in a high-scale environment, leading through influence and technical expertise. The team values continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making while maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a culture of technical growth and knowledge sharing.

What you'll do:

Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.

Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Lead system design reviews to ensure quality, feasibility, and alignment with architectural best practices.

Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using modern programming languages and platforms.

Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics using data-driven practices.

Continuously improve processes, tools, and products by embracing innovation and adapting to change.

What you'll bring:10 plus years of proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to build scalable, resilient systems.

Strong software development skills across the full lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.

Experience in API design, software prototyping, and applying design patterns for secure, modular, and maintainable solutions.

Ability to lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions to ensure quality and sustainability.

Proficiency in data-driven decision making, debugging, and problem solving to optimize engineering processes and outcomes.
