Our growing client are a rapidly growing fintech. This is a new permanent role for Senior Full Stack Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will entail:Product engineering
- Build features across the full stack in Type Script, React and Node.js
, from a well-defined user story through to a working, tested release. - Work with the Product Manager and Product Designers to understand problem context, constraints and acceptance criteria before starting work, and flag ambiguity rather than filling gaps with assumptions.
- Build and maintain integrations with platforms working alongside the wider engineering team.
- Work hands-on with REST APIs, webhooks, file-based integrations (CSV, SFTP) and OAuth-based authentication.
- Work with QA to verify that what was built matches what was asked for before anything is called done.
- Use MongoDB comfortably as a data store fit
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- 5+ years' professional Back End experience, with deep, recent expertise in Type Script and Node.js.
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of GCP
- Proven, hands-on experience building production integrations with third-party APIs, including REST APIs.
- Experience of building production CSV and file-based ingestion pipelines
- Strong knowledge of data protection practices and experience building software that handles sensitive data in line with them.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous processing and failure handling in distributed systems.
- Experience of MongoDB or similar.
- Excellent communication, documentation and a willingness to share knowledge.
