Senior Software Engineer - Python & Django​/Flask

Our client, a fast-paced technology startup specializing in data analytics and AI solutions, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Python skills and experience in either Django or Flask frameworks. This is a fully remote position, offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to core product development. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling backend services that power our innovative platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django/Flask.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various frontend applications and third-party services.
• Implement and manage database solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection for backend systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Stay abreast of emerging Python libraries, frameworks, and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development using Python.
• Proven experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Strong understanding of API design principles (RESTful) and experience building/consuming APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or No
  
  SQL databases.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
