VPP-- Software Forward Deployed Engineer Remote

You will collaborate with engineering, product, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders to design and deliver core capabilities for an enterprise Leasing data platform. This role combines hands-on data engineering with architecture ownership, ensuring the accessibility of enterprise data to modern Agentic AI and LLM-powered applications through APIs and AI-ready data structures.

We are looking for a hands-on Software / Forward Deployed Engineer to build and deploy AI-powered solutions that transform business operations.

In this role, you will work closely with Legal teams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities, design intelligent agents, develop integrations, and bring solutions into production.

You will operate with significant autonomy, supported by a central AI Center of Excellence that provides shared platforms, methodologies, and engineering best practices.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who combines strong software development skills, practical experience with Agentic AI, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into reliable, production-ready solutions.

• Design, build, deploy, and support AI agents that automate and enhance business workflows.
• Develop MCP servers, connectors, and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Build agent skills, workflows, and evaluations using shared AI infrastructure, including LLM gateways, RAG services, and MCP tool chains.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead workshops and help teams adopt AI development tools such as Claude Code.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and multiple agents to accelerate engineering delivery.
• Own solutions throughout their lifecycle, from initial design and development through production deployment and operational handoff.
• Identify technical risks, failure modes, and opportunities to improve platform capabilities.
• Share engineering patterns, lessons learned, and best practices with the broader AI Center of Excellence.

• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents in production using Claude Agent SDK, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or equivalent agentic AI frameworks.
• Strong production software engineering experience with Python, Node.js, or .NET, and the ability to work across different technology stacks.
• Experience working with multiple data storage technologies, including relational databases, No
  
  SQL, object/blob storage, vector databases, and document databases.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design, develop, deploy, support, and transition production systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, integrations, production reliability, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage and present to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants, agent-based workflows, and development automation.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, and MCP integrations.
• Experience implementing RAG-based solutions and enterprise AI integrations.
• Background working directly with business teams in a Forward Deployed Engineering or Solutions Engineering capacity.
• Experience with Legal workflows, enterprise operations, or other complex business environments.
