We're rebuilding vertical software with AI — from the inside.
Embrace owns the software running inside 16% of the Fortune 500, 45+ state agencies, and 450+ banks and credit unions. We acquire entrenched vertical software businesses and rebuild them around AI — products, operations, go-to-market, all of it. Our Venture Lab launches new AI-native products into those same markets, using the distribution and customer relationships our portfolio already owns.
You'll ship AI into production against real workflows, real customers, and a P&L you can see move within a quarter.
We hire people who want scope, speed, and ownership, and who are tired of working on AI that never reaches a customer. If you want to spend the next five years shipping into software that already runs the economy, talk to us.

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Data Migration & Integration Developer to design, develop, and execute data migration solutions from various source systems into our enterprise applications, including modern relational databases and legacy database platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL, database analysis, data mapping, and scripting skills, along with the ability to leverage AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate schema analysis, transformation development, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Source databases may vary significantly across customers, so the candidate must be comfortable working with unfamiliar database structures, understanding relationships, identifying data quality issues, and developing reliable transformation processes across different database platforms.
This is a technical, hands‑on role that will work closely with our customer‑facing implementation team and internal engineering team.
Key Responsibilities1. Database Analysis & Data Mapping
- Analyze source database schemas from a variety of relational and legacy database systems.
- Understand table structures, relationships, constraints, data types, and dependencies.
- Map source data structures to target database schemas, including PostgreSQL and legacy database platforms.
- Identify data inconsistencies, missing values, duplicates, and potential migration challenges.
- Translate documented business requirements into technical mapping and transformation rules.
- Work with internal stakeholders to clarify mapping requirements and resolve technical gaps.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across different database platforms.
- Learn, maintain, and enhance existing SQL‑based staging and conversion processes used for external system data migrations.
- Build reusable transformation scripts and migration utilities using SQL, Python, or other appropriate technologies.
- Handle complex transformations involving multiple tables, relationships, data formats, and business rules.
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, error handling, and logging.
- Troubleshoot migration failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
- Optimize migration processes for large datasets and complex database structures.
- Actively leverage AI coding assistants to improve the speed and efficiency of data mapping, transformation, and migration development.
- Use AI tools to assist with source schema analysis, SQL generation, Python scripting, debugging, and documentation.
- Independently review, validate, and optimize AI‑generated code before execution.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive mapping, validation, and migration activities.
