Headquartered in Montreal, Detroit and Munich, Vention helps manufacturers automate their operations in record time with the only hardware and software AI-powered platform built for the factory floor. Our technology powers over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories across 5 continents and we have the privilege to work with a significant proportion of Fortune 500 manufacturers, from space rockets, to electrical cars, to robotics.
At Vention, you’ll work alongside driven and talented people who care deeply about their craft and the impact they create. We’re a team of high achievers who grow through meaningful work, solving complex challenges, learning fast, and seeing the results of our efforts every day.
We move quickly and aim high, but we do it together with care, collaboration, and respect. Our culture celebrates diverse perspectives and supports your growth through intentional development, strong leadership, and opportunities to make a real difference.
What You’ll DoYou’ll co-own and build Vention’s unified design system, giving every product (Platform, Web, HMI, and Marketing) one shared foundation of tokens, theming, and components.
You’ll set up the workflow that keeps design and code in sync, so a change in design reaches production without a long handoff.
You’ll build and maintain coded components and patterns with our frontend developers, and plan the migration from our current UI kits.
You’ll make the system AI-ready, with structure and documentation that let tools like Claude generate production-ready interfaces.
You’ll be the bridge between design intent and production, reviewing UI work for fidelity.
You’ll teach and support designers so they get more comfortable with code, tokens, and design-to-code workflows.
Significant hands-on experience building design systems, with strong opinions on tokens theming, component architecture, tech stack...
Expert in TypeScript and React. You can design clean component APIs on accessible primitives (Radix), with deep knowledge of CSS, design tokens and multi-mode theming, and WCAG/ARIA accessibility. You have shipped and versioned an npm component library to production, with Storybook, automated testing (interaction, visual, axe) and CI, and you work fluently in Figma, including Variables.
Real design skill: you work comfortably in Figma, you notice spacing and type issues, and you discuss design decisions with designers as a peer.
Clear communication with designers and engineers, and a habit of documenting decisions.
Experience with Storybook and design-to-code or AI-assisted UI workflows (Figma Variables, Claude, MCP).
A curiosity to learn, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to contribute to something meaningful
