Remote AI Platform Engineer

Our client, a rapidly growing AI company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote AI Platform Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This fully remote role is crucial for building and maintaining the scalable, reliable infrastructure that powers our advanced AI development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for developing tools, automating workflows, and ensuring the smooth operation of our AI platforms.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and a passion for MLOps and enabling AI teams to work more efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems with a talented, remote-first team.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust AI infrastructure and platforms.
• Develop and automate machine learning pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, and deployment.
• Implement and manage CI/CD processes for AI models and services.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for AI workloads on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop tools and services to support AI research and development teams.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of AI services.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
• Implement best practices for MLOps, including version control, testing, and monitoring.
• Ensure the security and compliance of the AI platform.
• Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure, cloud computing, or MLOps.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective in a virtual team environment.
