This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa, contributing to groundbreaking projects without geographical constraints. • Design and architect end-to-end AI solutions, with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and robust AI/ML system designs.
• Develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept for new AI-driven features and products.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers in a fully remote team environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on AI/ML best practices, especially concerning NLP.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AI technologies, tools, and platforms for solution implementation.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of deployed AI solutions.
• Document architectural designs, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and NLP research and industry applications.
• Present AI solution designs and strategies to technical and business stakeholders.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in AI/ML, with a significant focus (3+ years) on NLP applications (e.g., text classification, sentiment analysis, machine translation, chatbots, NLU).
• Proven experience in designing and architecting complex AI/ML systems.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch) for NLP tasks.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their AI/ML services.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including CI/CD and MLOps.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team setting.
