Lead Application Architect

Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce platform, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Application Architect to shape the future of their digital offerings. This is a fully remote position where you will be responsible for defining the architectural vision, standards, and roadmaps for all application development. You will lead a team of talented architects and engineers, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions that drive customer engagement and business success.

• Define and own the application architecture strategy, standards, and patterns for the organization.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and secure software applications.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for application development.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to application architects and developers.
• Ensure architectural alignment and consistency across all application development projects.
• Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and provide feedback to ensure quality.
• Champion best practices in software design, development, and deployment.
• Oversee the integration of applications with other systems and platforms.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in application architecture and software engineering.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a senior or lead application architecture role.
• Proven experience designing and architecting complex, distributed, and scalable web applications and microservices.
• Deep expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js) and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Django, React).
• Strong understanding of API design (RESTful, GraphQL), event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
