Senior Mobile App Developer; iOS

Our client, a leading mobile technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer specializing in iOS to join their innovative product development team in Vereeniging, Gauteng . This role is critical for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work on challenging projects, collaborate closely with designers and product managers, and contribute to the entire app lifecycle, from concept to release.

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and product managers, to define and ship new features.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the mobile applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Explore and implement new technologies to maximize application performance and user engagement.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in native iOS app development.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality iOS applications on the App Store.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.
• Deep understanding of the iOS SDK, Xcode, and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
• Experience with common iOS frameworks (e.g., UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation).
• Familiarity with cloud messaging, push notifications, and persistent storage.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning.
• Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a hybrid work setting.
