Software QA / Test Automation Engineer
Number of positions: 2, Mid and Senior Level

100 % remote BUT local to MD, VA, DC

Hours:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and QA standards.
• Implement automated unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain AI-driven test‑script generation capabilities to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Perform feature and functional testing of Java‑based cloud applications deployed across AWS ECS, EKS, and Open Shift.
• Validate application functionality across Development, Test, and Operations environments.
• Conduct security and compliance testing, including SAST/DAST integration and FISMA High control validation.
• Support continuous monitoring, ATO documentation, and testing evidence requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers, cloud engineers, and Dev Sec Ops  teams to identify and resolve defects.

• Strong experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
• Hands‑on experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Experience with AI-driven test generation or AI-assisted testing tools.
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with API testing, REST services, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Java-based applications, microservices, and containerized environments.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications deployed on AWS ECS, EKS, or Open Shift.
• Understanding of Dev Sec Ops , secure software development, and federal security requirements.
• Previous experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal government programs.
• Experience with AWS Gov Cloud and cloud migration testing.
• Knowledge of FISMA High/FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, and ATO processes.
• Experience with Git Lab, Tekton, Argo CD, and container-based test automation.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and database validation.
• Experience working in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments
