Director of Engineering

If shipping reliable software at scale excites you, our Director of Engineering opening in Eugene, OR is worth a serious look. The $179,000 - $250,000 is the floor, not the ceiling; with 10 years and technology ownership, this Citadel role keeps rising.

• Question the warm-yet-rigorous .NET Core pattern everyone copied and propose something cleaner
• Document the Interpersonal Skills system so the next director engineer onboards in days, not weeks
• Own data integrity across Citadel's .NET Core stores so Eugene numbers never lie
• Wrangle Redis config across environments so Eugene staging mirrors production
• Pair with technology analysts so Citadel's .NET Core models match real behavior
• Decide when to buy Interpersonal Skills versus build it for Citadel's Eugene, OR stack

• At least 11 years of standing behind your own estimates
• Demonstrated capacity to mentor or support director teammates
• Hands-on familiarity with Problem Solving, sharpened by Kubernetes side projects
• Director-caliber judgment about when to elevate and when to absorb
• Strong rapport-building skills and a genuinely positive presence
• An Eugene network, or the hustle to build one from scratch
