As a global leader in cybersecurity, Crowd Strike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily.
Our customers span all industries, and they count on Crowd Strike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're proud to work for a mission-driven company leveraging AI to transform the way we work. Crowd Strikers drive their careers through flexibility and autonomy while also being expected to contribute to a culture of responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation.
We use an AI-first mindset as a force multiplier to proactively and continuously accelerate execution, build expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex problems. We’re always looking to add talented Crowd Strikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters?
The future of cybersecurity starts with you.
The Falcon Complete Detection Engineering (FCDE) team builds and maintains the NG-SIEM detection ruleset that powers Crowd Strike's managed detection and response capability. The team develops high-fidelity detections driven by threat intelligence and real-world observations, including rapid response to zero-days and emerging threats, filling detection gaps across a broad range of third-party data sources where adversaries increasingly operate. FCDE also builds and refines AI-powered tooling to maximize the speed and fidelity of detection development ineers collaborate across the full pipeline, from ingestion and parsing to response and automation, to improve triage efficiency and accelerate threat disruption.
What You’ll Do:Perform threat research and threat hunting to identify emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to build detections using an intelligence driven approach
Develop, test, and deploy actionable high fidelity Crowd Strike Next-Gen SIEM detection rules to enable a world class Managed Detection and Response team
Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure rules meet our quality and performance expectations prior to deployment at scale
Leverage CI/CD best practices and principles to deploy detections as code
Contribute to and leverage an AI-powered detection engineering ecosystem, including LLM-assisted tooling and coding agents, to accelerate threat research, rule development, and detection workflow automation
Collaborate with SIEM architects to develop and define best practices for parsing data and normalizing data to a common event schema
Build and maintain utilities and tools to enable the managed services team to operate efficiently and at a large scale
Develop and maintain processes and documentation
Participate in a Detection Engineer handler on-call rotation
Successful candidates will have experience in many of the following areas:
3+ years of experience as a detection engineer, security engineer, security analyst, threat intelligence analyst, or related field
Knowledge of current cyber threats and how to detect them using SIEM and relevant technologies
Relevant industry certifications (i.e. GCFA, GCDA, GCIH, etc.)
Experience with analyzing large datasets across a variety of vendors and technologies
