- **** Job Details:**## General Notes Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Travel is required. The level and title of coach hired will be based on experience, qualifications of the candidate selected for the position and available positions on the coaching staff at the time of hire.##

Purpose Responsible for duties associated with a Division I Football program including assisting the Head Coach with the following: prospect evaluation, recruiting, training, coaching, competing successfully, Student-Athlete academic achievement, Student-Athlete conduct and welfare, compliance with the Governing Athletics Rules and University Rules, scheduling assistance, and the overall effective performance of the program’s student-athletes.## Responsibilities
* Assistant Coach will be responsible for customary assistant coach coaching decisions including, without limitation, assisting the Head Coach upon his request with the systems and strategies used on the field (both in practice and actual game play), planning practice schedules and training schedules, selection of team members, position assignment of players, scouting the opponent, breaking down video, and all other matters relating to the preparation, practice for, and playing of games.
* Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with prospective Student-Athlete recruiting, including recruiting contacts, evaluations, official visits, telephone calls and other communications, and any travel-related activities of prospective student-athletes.
* Assistant Coach will perform certain services in connection with football camps and clinics as may be assigned by the Head Coach.
* Represent the Athletics Department and UT Austin at various alumni, donor, and departmental functions/events.
* Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws.

Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Successful experience as an assistant or head football coach at an elite high school, college or pro level.

Experience with on-campus recruiting visits of prospective student-athletes. Thorough knowledge of NCAA recruiting, academic, and administrative rules and regulations as they pertain to collegiate football programs. Experience in a championship-quality collegiate environment.
