Job DescriptionThe Esports Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director for Esports and assists with the daily operations of recreational esports facilities, programs, special events, and supervision of student staff. This position will hire, train, supervise, and develop student staff. It will provide a diverse array of esports programming that will attract participation from a broad spectrum of students. This role will assist in large‑scale programs and special events which may include esports tournaments and weekend and late‑night programming.
It will support the esports club and assist with the expansion of esports on campus. This position works cooperatively within the Student Experience Division, campus departments, and student organizations to facilitate esports activities and programming. Evening and weekend work required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sports management, higher education, student affairs, or related field preferred.

- Supervise and monitor the esports on campus facilities.
- Oversee and ensure esports streaming channels comply with policies and procedures.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, and evaluation of student staff.
- Assist with the development, supervision, evaluation, and execution of recreational and competitive esports programming including open recreation gaming, special events, leagues, and tournament play.
- Collaborate across division and campus to increase and diversify participation.
- Assist with the development and evaluation of all operating policies and procedures for esports facilities and programs.
- Assist with maintaining and updating equipment.
- Work closely with esports staff to create a strategy to expand esports participation.
- Assist with collecting data relating to esports programming, participation, satisfaction, and learning.
- Use best practices and a forward‑thinking approach that anticipates future trends, challenges, and priorities.
