Pay Range

$62,400 - $73,000

Job Description

The Associate Head Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of conducting the women’s soccer program. Assist head coach with recruiting; daily team operations and practices; conditioning; game preparation with video editing and scouting; team and game/event management, and administrative tasks as assigned. Other administrative task duties included, but are not limited to official visit coordination, team travel, summer camps/clinics, pre-season planning, and liaison to internal departments.

Education and Experience
  • Must have proven experience coaching women’s soccer at the collegiate level.
  • Working Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • History of recruiting success.
  • Familiarity with player load management systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
  • High competency in technology and video equipment.
  • Good organizational, communication and computer skills.
  • Strong commitment and ability to work with student athletes.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and relationship building.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Preferred experience as lead assistant at the collegiate level.
  • High competency in soccer skills and tactical instruction.
  • Proven success as a lead recruiter recruiting Division 1 ACC caliber both domestically and internationally.
  • Video analysis/editing and scouting experience required.
  • Experience with player load management and analytics.
Responsibilities
  • Development of student athletes that include and is not limited to technical and tactical development.
  • Create training sessions for student athletes for both large and small group training.
  • Ability to scout opponents and prepare educational sessions for coaches and student athletes.
  • Responsible for video analysis.
  • Development of team dynamics and individual leadership.
  • Lead recruiting by identifying and communicating with potential student athletes and their club coaches.
  • Organize recruiting data base as well as emails received.
  • Evaluating, recruitment, and administrative tasks associated with domestic and international recruiting.
  • Scheduling official and unofficial visits as well as coaching staff with travel plans.
  • Assisting with day-to-day game management.
  • Responsible for both fall and spring scheduling, NCAA video sharing.
  • Assist with overall maintenance of team budget and purchase decisions.
  • Oversight of physiological assessment, tracking, load management and injury prevention.
  • Work closely with Player Data, strength and conditioning coach and athletic trainer.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
