About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Sports Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Centurion . This role involves the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of various sporting events, ranging from local tournaments to larger community-based competitions. You will work closely with sponsors, participants, and volunteers to ensure seamless event delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, possesses excellent logistical skills, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This hybrid role offers a mix of on-site event management and remote planning, contributing to the vibrant sporting calendar in the Centurion area.

• Plan and manage all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue booking, equipment procurement, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.
• Develop marketing and promotional materials to drive participation and attendance for events in Centurion .
• Oversee on-site event execution, managing staff and volunteers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring participant safety.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and negotiate with vendors for services and supplies.
• Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback to improve future events.

• Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within the sports or leisure industry.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
