Sports Development Officer

Our client is seeking a proactive and dedicated Sports Development Officer to drive and expand sports participation and programs within the community. This role, based remotely, is focused on creating accessible and inclusive sporting opportunities for all residents. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating sports development initiatives, fostering partnerships with local organizations, and promoting healthy, active lifestyles through sport.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for sports development in underserved communities.
• Organize and deliver community sports programs, events, and workshops for diverse age groups.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools, sports clubs, community groups, and government agencies.
• Seek funding opportunities and manage grants to support sports development initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, reporting on key performance indicators and outcomes.
• Promote inclusive participation and ensure sports programs are accessible to individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in sports development , community engagement, or program management.
• Strong understanding of the principles of inclusive sports and active lifestyles .
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting .
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed for program oversight.
