Do you have some spare time during the day? Would you like to work for EF as an hourly Host Family Recruiter? EF Toronto has an exciting opportunity to support the Housing Department in sourcing high quality host families for our international students. In this role, you will play a key part in building strong relationships with local families and ensuring our students enjoy a safe, welcoming, and comfortable homestay experience.

This is a flexible, part-time role (approximately 15–30 hours per week) with variable hours that may increase during peak season. The role requires regular physical presence, ideally three days per week at the school, with remaining hours completed remotely through calls or home visits. You will travel across the GTA, primarily using public transportation, to assess host family homes and to mirror the student experience.

The position is designed to adapt to the Housing Team’s needs throughout the year, supporting workload fluctuations based on seasonal demand. This is an hourly employee position, with schedules coordinated in advance by the Housing Manager.

• Call potential host families from database of enquiries
• Arrange suitable times to visit potential host families
• Assess homes to ensure they meet EF’s accommodation standards
• Support Host Families in filling out application form and other relevant paperwork
• Spot check visits to current Host Families throughout the year to ensure quality and maintain build connection
• Provide clear and accurate feedback to the EF Housing Team following visits
• Update host family profiles in database, post-visit
• Manage and organize visits according to your own schedule
• Develop a quarterly Newsletter for Host Family to create community and connection
• Support in the organization and execution of events to promote host family program
• Support team with other duties related to the Housing department

• Excellent telephone and communication skills
• Target driven with sales experience
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of Toronto/GTA neighborhoods and transit systems is an asset
• Established community connections in 1, or multiple, Toronto neighborhoods considered a strong asset
• Access to a computer and reliable internet
• Access to a car preferable, but not required
