- Analyze and evaluate existing transportation processes to enhance customer delivery and reduce costs
- Compile and assess data from various management systems to facilitate process improvements
- Develop and monitor transportation-related databases and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with carriers and transportation managers to optimize service performance and cost efficiency
- Manage vendor invoices and respond to transportation-related inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation or logistics
- Ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences at various organizational levels
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of automated freight pay and audit processes
- Experience in the courier industry or pool distribution environments
- Familiarity with preparing or responding to RFPs and RFQs in a transportation context
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to implement effective processes
- Experience with continuous improvement or lean methodologies
- Knowledge of small package, LTL, and TL transportation
