The project

The project: Mace is providing project management consultancy services on a large luxury mixed-use development in the Umluj area of Saudi Arabia.

You’ll be responsible for

Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for land and marine transportation.
Coordinate multimodal transport for heavy equipment, bulk materials, and specialized items.
Optimize routes and schedules to minimize delays and costs.
Liaise with procurement teams to align material delivery schedules with project milestones.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs clearance for imported goods.
Manage marine logistics including barge operations, port handling, and offshore deliveries.
Oversee coordination with port authorities and shipping agents for timely vessel turnaround.
Plan and manage site access, storage areas, and internal movement of materials and equipment.
Implement safety and security protocols for logistics operations.
Work closely with PMC teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication.
Attend progress meetings and provide logistics status updates.
Develop contingency plans for disruptions (e.g., transport delays, supplier issues).
Monitor and mitigate risks related to logistics and supply chain.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and delivery schedules.

You’ll need to have

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field (this is desirable but not essential for the right candidate)
10+ years’ experience in construction logistics, including land and marine transport.
Proven experience in PMC projects or working with project management consultants.
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs clearance, and port operations.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP, RFID tracking).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
