We currently have an opening for a full time Aircraft Handler/Line Assistant. The main job description is shown below:

Responsibilities
  • Ensure aircraft are out of the hangar ready for scheduled departures, refueled and with the correct fuel and seating configuration.
  • Be responsible for keeping the aircraft as per their cleaning schedules/requirements.
  • Ensure all refueling requests are carried out with time to spare before the aircraft are due to depart.
Other Duties
  • Assist the engineering team with engineering requirements when needed, de‑paneling aircraft, cleaning parts and components.
  • Ensuring the ground handling equipment is serviced, operational and safe to use.
  • Ensuring the forklift and tug are fully operational, serviced and charged.
  • Keeping on top of the general husbandry around the hangar, working with the engineers.
  • Ensure workshops are kept in a clean and organised manor.
  • To take a lead on the disposal of waste ensuring fuel deliveries and to organise that waste fuel are taken care of.
  • Assist around the hangar and business where necessary, ensuring bins are emptied and the hangar is tidy.
  • Keeping all walkways safe for use, ensuring safety signs are displayed correctly when any cleaning or maintenance work is being undertaken.
Behavioural Requirements
  • An aviation enthusiast, who is at home working on a busy airfield, within a dynamic helicopter maintenance facility.
  • Someone with a keen eye for detail when it comes to valeting and keeping customers aircraft in a show room condition.
  • Proactive, a real team player with a flexible approach and the confidence to work on their own when required.
  • Ability to communicate well and be organised.
  • Ability to multi-task and think clearly under pressure.
  • Must be reliable, have excellent time keeping and be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Would suit school or college leaver who is interested in pursuing a career in helicopter maintenance or someone who has a passion for aviation and wants to work with a great team of enginers. Will need to enjoy a very hands on role and full training given.
Must Have
  • Own vehicle to get to/from work due to location of business.
