Remote Logistics Operations Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Logistics Operations Specialist to manage and optimize their supply chain activities from anywhere. This fully remote position requires a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills to oversee the efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, resolving logistical challenges, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

This role is critical for maintaining seamless operations and supporting our client's commitment to timely and reliable delivery for customers in the Western Cape region and beyond.

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods, optimizing routes and transportation modes.
• Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues, providing solutions to minimize delays and disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics costs using company systems.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight management, and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
