Remote Transport Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Transport Planner to manage and optimize their transportation network from a remote location. This role is integral to ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, coordinating drivers, and planning routes. You will be responsible for leveraging advanced planning tools and your expertise in logistics to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of transport dynamics, and the ability to effectively manage complex logistical challenges without direct physical oversight of operations.

• Develop and implement optimal transportation plans and route strategies.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other logistics personnel to ensure smooth execution of plans.
• Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Monitor and manage the performance of the transport fleet, addressing any deviations from the plan.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast transportation needs and capacity requirements.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in transport planning , logistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
