Remote Fleet Dispatch Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Remote Fleet Dispatch Coordinator to manage and optimize their transportation operations from a remote setting. Based out of the Benoni region, you will be responsible for coordinating drivers, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods across various locations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of logistics software, and the ability to communicate effectively with a distributed team.

You will play a critical role in enhancing delivery performance and customer satisfaction by leveraging technology and strategic planning.

• Manage and coordinate a fleet of drivers and vehicles using dispatch software.
• Schedule and assign deliveries and pickups, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor driver progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders in real-time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues, such as delays or vehicle problems, remotely.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatched loads, driver activities, and delivery confirmations.
• Liaise with clients, warehouses, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

• Proven experience in fleet management, dispatch, or logistics coordination, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and other logistics technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with transport regulations and best practices.
