Remote Logistics Coordinator; Driver Management

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to manage driver operations from anywhere. This pivotal role involves coordinating daily driver schedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring efficient fleet utilization without being physically present at a central location. You will act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and resolving issues remotely. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, problem-solving, and logistical planning skills, enabling them to effectively manage a dispersed team and contribute to the seamless operation of the logistics network, supporting our operations in the Western Cape and beyond.

• Coordinate and schedule daily activities for a team of remote drivers, ensuring optimal route planning.
• Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with company policies via telematics and communication.
• Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, addressing queries, and resolving logistical challenges in real-time.
• Manage communication flow between drivers, dispatch, and other departments.
• Analyze delivery data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate records of driver assignments, delivery progress, and performance metrics.

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, fleet management, or a similar role.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using logistics software, route optimization tools, and communication platforms.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, informed decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in logistics are a plus.
