About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced and highly organized Remote Logistics Dispatcher to manage and coordinate delivery operations from a distance. This critical role involves assigning tasks to drivers, optimizing routes, monitoring shipments, and ensuring efficient workflow across the network. You will be the central communication hub, leveraging technology to maintain operational continuity and exceptional service levels. The ideal candidate is adept at multitasking, problem-solving under pressure, and excels in a remote work environment, supporting logistics across the Western Cape and beyond.

• Dispatch drivers for timely and efficient deliveries based on route planning and customer needs.
• Monitor driver progress and vehicle status using GPS and fleet management software.
• Respond to dispatch calls, resolve issues, and provide support to drivers in real-time.
• Optimize routes to improve efficiency, reduce transit times, and minimize costs.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, deliveries, and any operational exceptions.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.

• Proven experience as a logistics dispatcher or in a similar coordination role.
• Excellent understanding of dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Strong knowledge of the Western Cape region's geography is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a remote setting.
