Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of goods and materials for their operations based out of Centurion. This remote role requires exceptional planning, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient transportation and delivery schedules are met. You will be the central point of contact for carriers, suppliers, and internal teams, coordinating all aspects of the inbound and outbound logistics.

Your expertise will be vital in optimizing shipping routes, managing freight costs, and ensuring that goods reach their destinations safely and on time, supporting the company's extensive network across Gauteng and beyond.

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, including booking freight and preparing documentation.
• Track shipments in real-time and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding delivery status.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Resolve any logistical issues or disruptions that may arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including costs, transit times, and delivery performance.
• Liaise with customs brokers and ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations.

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of shipping and logistics processes, including freight forwarding and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
