About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage their transportation and distribution operations remotely. This role is critical for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods, supporting production and customer delivery from their base in Upington. You will coordinate with carriers, track shipments, resolve logistical issues, and optimize routing to enhance efficiency. The successful candidate will thrive in a remote work environment and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments via various modes of transport.
• Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Negotiate rates and manage relationships with transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Resolve logistical challenges and provide timely solutions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics using logistics software.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and documentation requirements.

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software and standard office applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset.
