About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proactive Remote Transport Operations Planner to join their distributed team. This role is integral to designing and implementing efficient transportation strategies that support a nationwide delivery network. You will work from home, utilizing advanced software tools to analyze data, optimize routes, and manage fleet deployment. The focus will be on ensuring timely, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods, requiring a keen analytical mind and the ability to coordinate complex logistics chains remotely.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning expert to contribute significantly without a fixed office presence.
- Develop and refine transportation plans, including route optimization and load consolidation, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders remotely to ensure seamless execution of transport plans.
- Monitor fleet performance, proactively addressing any issues that may impact delivery schedules or service quality.
- Utilize specialized logistics software and planning tools to manage complex transportation networks.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting transportation operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain analysis.
- Proficiency with advanced route planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable plans.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
