About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent Transport Operations Assistant to support their logistics team in Benoni . This role involves assisting in the coordination of daily transport activities, managing driver schedules, and ensuring the efficient dispatch of goods across the Gauteng region. You will play a key part in optimizing delivery routes, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with drivers and stakeholders.

• Assist in planning and scheduling daily delivery routes for the transport fleet.
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, monitor progress, and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, delivery status, and driver performance.
• Support the dispatch team in coordinating the loading and unloading of goods.
• Conduct routine checks on vehicle documentation and licensing.
• Help manage inventory of transport-related supplies and equipment.

• Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role, preferably in transport.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with the Benoni area and basic knowledge of logistics operations.
