About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Benoni. This role is crucial for managing the daily scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of our transportation fleet, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries throughout the region. You will act as the primary liaison between drivers, clients, and internal departments, addressing logistical challenges and optimizing routes. This hybrid position allows for focused work in the office combined with remote flexibility, supporting seamless operations within the bustling Gauteng province.

• Schedule and dispatch vehicles and drivers for timely deliveries and pick-ups.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to assigned routes and schedules.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and optimize routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status.
• Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including logs and delivery confirmations.
• Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or disruptions promptly.

• Proven experience as a Transport Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar logistics role.
• Familiarity with transportation logistics and routing software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
