About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics & Dispatch Officer to join their team in Nelspruit. This hybrid role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, coordinating dispatch activities, and managing logistical documentation. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to optimize delivery schedules and resolve any operational issues that may arise.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to contribute to the effectiveness of our supply chain operations, balancing remote work flexibility with essential on-site coordination within the Mpumalanga region, Nelspruit.

• Coordinate and manage the dispatch of vehicles and drivers for timely deliveries and pick-ups.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times.
• Maintain accurate records of all outgoing and incoming shipments, including inventory levels and delivery status.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their shifts.
• Prepare and manage necessary logistical documentation, such as delivery notes and manifests.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the dispatch and delivery process.

• Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a related operational role.
• Strong understanding of transportation principles and supply chain processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software and standard office applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with drivers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, combining remote duties with on-site coordination in Nelspruit.
