About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Flight Operations Officer to join their team in Mossel Bay , contributing to the smooth and efficient execution of flight schedules. This role is pivotal in coordinating flight plans, managing operational logistics, and ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations. You will work closely with flight crews, ground staff, and regulatory bodies to facilitate safe and timely operations.

• Develop and manage flight schedules, optimizing routes and aircraft utilization.
• Monitor flight progress, weather conditions, and air traffic, making necessary adjustments to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with flight crews, ground handling, maintenance, and catering services.
• Ensure all flights comply with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations and international standards.
• Prepare and disseminate operational flight plans, NOTAMs, and other relevant information.
• Manage operational disruptions and emergencies, providing timely solutions and communication.

• Experience in flight operations, dispatch, or a related aviation role.
• Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and air traffic control principles.
• Proficiency in flight planning software and operational databases.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Relevant aviation qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
