Remote Dispatcher - Transport

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Dispatcher to manage their transport operations. This fully remote position allows you to coordinate and manage all outgoing and incoming shipments from your home office. You will be responsible for assigning routes to drivers, monitoring their progress, and ensuring timely deliveries while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the seamless execution of logistics across various regions.

• Coordinate and schedule daily routes for a fleet of drivers, ensuring efficient dispatch.
• Monitor driver locations and delivery progress in real-time using tracking software.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing them with necessary information and support.
• Respond to and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatched shipments, driver activities, and delivery confirmations.
• Liaise with clients and internal departments to manage expectations and provide updates.

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
