About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Flight Dispatcher to join their operations team in Cape Town . In this hybrid role, you will play a vital part in the planning and execution of flight operations, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for monitoring flight progress, making critical decisions regarding weather, flight plans, and operational changes, and communicating effectively with pilots and ground crews.

This position requires a keen understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and flight planning systems, contributing to the smooth operation of the airline's network.

• Develop and approve flight plans, considering factors such as weather, fuel requirements, and air traffic control constraints.
• Monitor flight progress in real-time, making necessary adjustments to flight paths or schedules due to operational or meteorological changes.
• Provide pilots with essential flight information, including weather briefings, NOTAMs, and operational updates.
• Collaborate with air traffic control, ground operations, and station personnel to ensure seamless flight operations.
• Manage flight schedules, ensuring on-time performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct post-flight analysis and reporting to identify areas for operational improvement.

• Previous experience as a Flight Dispatcher or in a related aviation operations role is essential.
• Possession of a valid Flight Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
• Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, aerodynamics, and navigation.
• Proficiency with flight planning software and communication systems.
