About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Remote Dispatcher & Logistics Planner to manage transportation operations from a remote location. This role is pivotal in coordinating drivers, optimizing delivery schedules, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods across designated regions. You will leverage technology and communication skills to manage a fleet remotely, troubleshoot logistical challenges, and maintain seamless operations.

The ideal candidate is adept at working autonomously, possesses exceptional communication abilities, and has a keen understanding of logistics principles, contributing to our client's national distribution network without requiring physical presence at a specific depot.

• Coordinate and assign daily tasks to a team of drivers, optimizing routes for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor driver progress and vehicle status in real-time using dispatch software.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and any disruptions.
• Plan and adjust delivery routes based on traffic, weather, and unforeseen circumstances.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and generate reports on fleet performance and delivery metrics.
• Proactively identify and resolve logistical issues to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or logistics planner, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Strong understanding of transportation logistics and route optimization software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with remote work tools and standard office software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
