Remote Dispatcher - Logistics

Our client is seeking a skilled and organized Remote Dispatcher to manage the logistical coordination of their transportation services. This position operates entirely remotely, focusing on assigning routes, monitoring driver progress, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. You will be the central point of contact for drivers and clients, making critical decisions to ensure timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a calm demeanor under pressure, excellent communication abilities, and a strong understanding of logistics and dispatch operations.

• Assign daily routes and schedules to drivers based on delivery requirements, driver availability, and vehicle capacity.
• Monitor driver progress in real-time using GPS tracking and communication tools.
• Respond promptly to driver inquiries, providing support and resolving any immediate operational issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any potential delays.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities, deliveries, and exceptions.
• Proactively identify and address potential logistical bottlenecks to ensure service efficiency.

• Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role, preferably in transportation.
• Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in fast-paced scenarios.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with drivers and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics is a plus.
