About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic transportation team in Durban, operating on a hybrid work model. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, bridging the gap between operational planning and on-the-ground execution. You will be responsible for coordinating daily dispatches, managing driver schedules, and liaising with clients and internal departments to maintain seamless operations.

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, ensuring all vehicles are scheduled and routes are optimized.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, monitor progress, and resolve issues in real-time.
• Manage relationships with clients, providing updates on shipments and addressing any logistical concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and inventory levels within the transportation management system.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Assist in the planning and execution of special transport projects and ad-hoc requests.

• Previous experience in a logistics, dispatch, or coordination role within the transport sector.
• Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) and tracking systems is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
