Logistics Planner; Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and forward-thinking Logistics Planner to join their fully remote team, supporting their extensive operations in the Logistics & Warehousing sector. This role is key to ensuring that all logistical operations are planned, executed, and monitored efficiently. You will be responsible for optimizing routes, scheduling deliveries, and managing transportation resources to meet delivery targets and cost objectives.

As a remote employee, you will contribute significantly to the company's success from your home office, without the need to be physically present in Pretoria .

• Develop and execute optimized transportation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments, managing carrier relationships and negotiating rates where applicable.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any deviations or disruptions.
• Utilize logistics planning software to manage routes, track inventory, and forecast capacity needs.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Analyze logistics performance data to identify areas for efficiency gains and cost savings.

• Proven experience in logistics planning , transportation management, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of transportation modes , routing optimization, and freight management.
• Proficiency with logistics planning tools and transportation management systems (TMS) .
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions.
• A degree or relevant certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
